Occupying a Medal hex is a tricky assignment.

If you grab it too soon in the battle, you will be subject to relentless attacks trying to dislodge you.  But if you wait too long, and the enemy grabs it, then you will be fighting the uphill battle to dislodge him.

But there is a great option for occupying a Medal hex.  In the Braskir Offensive, there are three! Medal hexes to grab and hold.

The Braskir Offensive comes with one Sniper for each side.

One option is to occupy it with the Sniper.  Snipers can only be killed with a grenade roll. This makes them much more impervious to the standard attack.  If you grab and hold with the Sniper, then the enemy will have to waste a lot of rolls trying to dislodge you from the hex.

Take a look at pic1, in which the Axis have just grabbed the Medal hex at I5 with a Sniper.  It will take an average of six rolls to kill him.

So the Sniper is the best option for grabbing and holding.
