Information you provide
When you register, use community features, subscribe, submit material, or make a purchase, we receive the information needed for that feature. This can include your account name, email address, profile information, comments, uploaded files, order details, and the battle results or campaign information you enter. Website administrators can access information needed to operate the site and respond to requests.
Battle records, community statistics, and public activity
Your personal War Room, campaign progress, and individual battle history require sign-in. Community scenario statistics combine submitted battle results and may be visible to everyone.
Some community activity is public by default. Scenario pages can show your account name and whether you recently played or won that scenario. The Commanders Leaderboard displays commander names and ranks. Public profiles, comments, forum posts, and approved community contributions may also be visible to visitors and search engines. A private battle record does not mean that the associated account name and recent-activity label are hidden.
Use a suitable public account name and avoid placing sensitive information in public contributions. Contact us if you want help reviewing information displayed about you, changing a public name, or requesting removal.
Newsletters and submissions
We use MailPoet to manage newsletter subscriptions and delivery. Subscription forms collect your email address; confirmation and subscription status are used to manage delivery. You can unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter. Contact and submission forms may send your details and submitted files to the site’s administrators for review. Material approved for publication may appear publicly with its credited name.
Orders and payments
WooCommerce supports the site’s store. Order and billing information is used to process purchases, provide downloads or support, and maintain transaction records. Payment processing is handled through the payment provider selected at checkout, such as Stripe/WooPayments or PayPal; those providers also process information under their own policies.
AI-assisted features
The Rules Chatbot and AI-assisted debrief features may send the questions, responses, battle information, or screenshots you supply to OpenAI to generate an answer or assessment. The information sent depends on the feature you use. Do not include other people’s private information unless you have permission to share it. Provider processing is subject to the applicable OpenAI business-data information and service terms. AI responses can be inaccurate and do not replace the official Memoir ’44 rules.
Cookies, sessions, security, and technical information
Cookies and server sessions support sign-in, site preferences, shopping, and security. Hosting, content-delivery, and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and request logs to deliver the site, detect abuse, and diagnose problems. The site uses anti-spam and security tools, including CleanTalk and Defender. Comments and form submissions may be checked for spam.
You can manage cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies or clearing sessions may affect sign-in, purchases, or saved preferences. If you use a profile image or upload media, remember that public files can be downloaded; remove embedded location information before uploading an image you intend to share.
External content and service providers
Pages may link to or embed third-party content, including videos, social platforms, game resources, or payment services. Embedded content can communicate with its provider as if you visited that provider directly, including through cookies and account-based tracking. Those providers operate under their own privacy policies.
We use service providers to host and deliver the website, manage email, process payments, prevent abuse, and provide AI-assisted features. Information needed for those functions may be processed outside your country.
Retention and your choices
Account information, saved battle records, subscriptions, contributions, and order records are retained to support the related services and the site’s history. Retention varies by record and service. Information may remain in backups or technical logs after it is removed from the live site; records needed for security, accounting, or other applicable obligations may need to be retained.
You can review available account and profile controls while signed in. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, export of, or removal of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity and clarify which records you mean before acting. Public information already copied by search engines or third parties may remain available outside our control.
Policy changes
We may update this page when the site’s features or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
