He won the first round by one medal; and I won the second round by two medals, giving me the win. But the main reason I was able to win, is because of an important warfare principle of mobility and control of the center. Note the final two highlighted forces, the Armor on the left, and the Infantry on the right. They both started in the center. Because I had control of the center, I was able to move both left and right, and attack weak forces in each flank.
