You may or may not be aware that in the Sugar Loaf and Half Moon scenario in the Pacific Theatre, if the Allied Marines control an entire section without any Japanese forces in it, they get one victory medal.
I had not seen this personally. But in a recent game, my opponent use his 'cave movement' option to reinforce his troops elsewhere on the battlefield. Since he moved his last two infantry units out of the right flank, I instantly gained one (temporary) Section-control Medal. This put me just one Medal away from victory.
This is cool!
