Close Assault Order

There is always an order that annoys me when I am confronted with it. Indeed, in close assault, artillery cannot defend itself. However, defensive combats in tight fire by artillery units have been carried out. What do you think? and how do you play this order on your MAP?

When you say that 'artillery cannot defend itself', do you mean, like with an Ambush card?

Yes, absolutely, with the "Ambush" card the artillery can act. But not in close combat.

I find that Artillery is already really resistant to attacks. It is amazing to me that my artillery can be nearly surrounded on some of the beach assaults and survive sometimes three turns before finally getting the two grenades needed. This gives me lots of time to hit the enemy and make it hurt. 🙂
