They are small enough to be able to place next to the hexes and tokens being moved. (As you can see in the picture, they are just a little wider than a dime, and thicker too.)
We had these custom made for us, and so the cost for each one is $5, which is our actual cost, plus shipping.
We recommend getting at least six, three for each side, which will cover in most circumstances.
