Knightsbridge Smackdown - Artillery to the Rescue!

It's not often that you get to wipe out three Armor units to win the game, but sometimes fate plays nice and let's you gain a come-from-behind-win, and claim the victory medal!

In this Memoir 44 Knightsbridge scenario, the Allies have the Axis on the run.  They have decimated the entire Axis' left flank; cleared the center section of all Armor; destroyed and pushed back an Artillery unit into the Oasis against the back border; and have moved in for the kill on the other flank.

 

But the Axis are able to call in devastating Artillery support with a well-timed Artillery Bombard card.  With three Artillery units, and the enemy in close proximity, this results in the capacity to unleash 14 dice rolls.

Each Axis Artillery is tasked with taking out one Allied Armor unit.

FIRST ARTILLERY UNIT:

1st roll - miss

2nd roll - two armor hit, and destroyed the unit at h8, for the first medal.

SECOND ARTILLERY UNIT:

3rd roll - one armor  hit,

4th roll - one armor hit, and destroyed the armor unit trapped at a6, for the second medal.

THIRD ARTILLERY UNIT:

5th roll - a double armor hit, and destruction of the armor unit at I5, for the third medal, and the win!
